Our Mission: Empowering the Future

We are dedicated to educating and empowering underprivileged children, supporting them until they achieve meaningful employment. Our goal is to ensure that the current generation of children living below the poverty line seamlessly integrates into mainstream society. Through quality education, holistic development, and skill-building, we strive to create opportunities that align with each child’s unique intelligence and strengths, paving the way for a brighter future.

Why We Exist

In Bangalore, nearly a million people live in slums, with a third below the poverty line. Most children are first-generation learners, struggling with poor education in government schools and rising private school fees, leading to high dropout rates. With parents averaging a Grade 5 education (Tamil/Kannada medium) and earning under ₹10,000 per month, children receive little academic support at home. Overcrowded classrooms (1:30 teacher-student ratio) make personalized learning difficult. We exist to bridge this gap—offering quality education, skill development, and holistic support to break the cycle of poverty.

Who Are Our Beneficiaries?

We support children from low-income families whose parents work as housemaids, painters, tailors, or daily wage earners. With 3-4 siblings in a household, parents often struggle to educate even one or two children. 90% of these children are first-generation learners, vulnerable to being pulled out of school during financial crises to support their families. Girls face an even greater risk, as their education often ends once they reach puberty. Rising school fees in higher grades further burden families. ACT steps in to assess each child’s situation and ensure their education continues, empowering them with a brighter future.
